History
Bella Group is a privately held Puerto Rican holding group with business interests focused in the wholesale distribution and retail sales of automobiles, transportation and leisure equipment. The company was founded by Mr. Jerómino Esteve-Abril in 1963.
In its first decade, Bella International only sold Honda motorcycles. The company later expanded its offering to include Honda automotive products in 1973, Honda power equipment products in 1984 and the Acura automotive line in 1986. As an initial foray into marine transportation, Bella Group began distribution of the Bombardier personal watercraft in 1989.
Today, Bella Group’s ownership has passed unto the hands of the second generation, with Mr. Carlos López-Lay as the group’s President and CEO, and his wife, Mrs. María Isabel Esteve, as Executive Vice-President. They are supported by a staff of more than 400 experienced professionals, most of whom have been with Bella Group for most of their careers.
